Freedom Lakes comprises of a complex of 3 reconstructed lakes 9, 19 and 29 acres, something for carp anglers of every level. Hand picked carp, up to 50lb+ and a massive 180lb Cat plus 25 cats which are stocked in one lake only.
Just one week in September at FREEDOM LAKES: "Around 35x20's 70x30's 11x40's 1x50 out this week and 4 cats 48lb,88lb,95lb,105lb"

Bobs crusade for Night fishing in La Creuse:
September 2008. Armed with several sheets of A4 filled with
facts and figures, from other departments in France, Bob recently attended a
local meeting of the Federation de Peche to discuss the fishing
facilities in St Dizer Leyenne and the surrounding area.
At this meeting
Bob pointed out to the committee that the difficult and somewhat
ludicrous rules surrounding night carp fishing 'Peche
de Nuit' in La Creuse were dissuading European carp anglers from
coming to the region to fish and
ultimately denying local communities of income.
The
committee were astounded at the huge numbers of European Carp
Anglers who come to other regions of France where Legal Night Fishing
rules are more relaxed, and equally amazed at the sizes of some of the Carp caught.
Thanks to the big impression Bob made at this meeting, the committee
took his facts and figures away with them with the intention of
presenting them to the annual meeting of the Federation de Peche of La
Creuse being held later this year.
Lets hope Bob has done something positive to alert the Federation de Peche of La Creuse of the ridiculous rules on Legal Night carp fishing. Its just a start, this is France and it could take sometime before any impact or changes, if any, get made. But Bob will keep you updated to any news..

WEIL’S DISEASE
Pronounced as “Viles”
disease, latin is Leptospirosis. This bacterial infection is contracted
via contact with Rat urine. It can develop into 'Jaundice' in humans.
Although this acute form is rare, mild attacks are common throughout the
world. Rats live in waterside banks scavenging for food and of
course urinate on both the bank and in the waters edge. Another
good reason not to leave litter and bait around!
Early symptoms after 4-10 days of contacting Weils disease are similar to influenza 'Flu': Fever, chills, muscular aches and pains, loss of appetite, and nausea when lying down. Later acute symptoms include bruising of the skin, anaemia, sore eyes, nose bleeds and jaundice. The fever lasts for approximately five days, then a significant deterioration follows.
Anglers should wear splash proof clothing and especially gloves. Cover scratches, cuts and sores with waterproof elastoplasts.
Wash your hands before you eat or hold food in a wrapping. Dispose carefully of any food you have held in your hands. Keep your fingers away from mouth and nose when fishing. Do not touch or pick up dead fish by hand, animals or birds at the waterside. Leave no rubbish to attract Rats!
Hook, Line & Sinker?
When you load your reel with new line, often you'll find that the line
will not sink. This is obviously not a problem to a float fisherman, but
if you are casting your bait out at long distance, on the bottom, the
last thing you need is for the line to be trailing on top of the water.
Ducks on the lake can occasionally bump into your floating line and give
you “false” bites.
You can combat this by squeezing a small amount of washing up liquid on to a rag. When you start put the new line on your spool, let the line pass through the washing up liquid by dragging the line though the rag.
